Guidance on the academic management plan after the midterm exam for the second semester of 2021.

The academic management plan after the midterm exam for the second semester of 2021 is as follows.

1. After the midterm exam for the second semester, we inform you of the academic management as follows.
A. We considered the following situations, such as COVID-19, changes in the government's quarantine guidelines, and vaccination rates.
1) From November 9th, the government initiates a gradual recovery of daily life (with COVID-19) transition to the quarantine system.
2) The Ministry of Education's plan to expand university-facing activities.
- "Asking for cooperation in expanding face-to-face activities at universities upon completion of 70% of first vaccinations." (University Academic System Department-12830, 21.10.8)
*As of 0 o'clock on October 8, 21, 77.6% of all Koreans (1st inoculation) (complete inoculation) 56.9% of all Koreans.
3) As a result of the vaccination rate survey for school members, (Expected inoculation rate as of October 20th (Wed)

B. The class operation after the midterm exam (Wed, November 3rd) is as follows.
- The class originally opened as a face-to-face class will be conducted as a face-to-face class, and the lecture plan proposal will be "Class Type" face-to-face and mixed classes (face-to-face & non-face-to-face). In this case, there is no additional student consent procedure.

- However, the number of people allowed for face-to-face classes is less than 50 undergraduate students and less than 20 graduate schools. Mixed (face-to-face & non-face-to-face) means a parallel class (NEMO lecture).
- As for class management methods after the midterm exam, please check the class notices of the subject.

2. In principle, the basic method of non-face-to-face classes is real-time lectures.
A. Online lectures are real-time lectures in parallel online or full-scale online lectures.
B. Recording lectures are only allowed if they are inevitable, such as reinforcement and lectures during the exam period.
- In order to guarantee students' right to study and secure the quality of online lectures,
1) Lecture materials must be uploaded before the lecture time,
2) In principle, we provide new lecture contents every semester. Also, online learning activities with students are required during the designated class time.

3. As for the method of grade evaluation, the same criteria for midterm exams for the second semester are applied.
A. The principle of the test method is not separately determined by the Office of Education and graduate school, and professors are in charge of deciding between the face-to-face and non-face-to-face tests.
B. The exam period will be held for two weeks, the same as last semester.
1) Interim exams are from October 20th to November 2nd, and final exams are from December 8th to 21st, respectively.
2) Regardless of the face-to-face/non-face-to-face test method, the first week of the test period is for 3rd and 4th graders. The second week is the exam period for the first and second graders.
However, graduate school schedules may differ in consideration of the circumstances of each department.
3) In the case of subjects taking the final exam in the 15th week, the legal number of school days must be satisfied within 15 weeks.
4) In principle, classes outside of the exam period should be taught online.

< <Precautions for quarantine when conducting face-to-face tests>
1. Always wear a mask in the test site.
2. Maintain a 1m distance between people.
3. Check your body temperature and disinfect your hands when entering.
- Fever and significant respiratory symptoms are prohibited from entering the room.

< <Precautions for quarantine when managing test sites>
1. Open all doors and windows before/after the start of the test and ventilate them sufficiently.
- Open and maintain windows and doors to facilitate the flow of outside air within the possible range.
– When using ventilation facilities, make sure that external air is exposed as much as possible.
- Even when cooling/heating is performed, open windows and doors from time to time to circulate outside air.
2. Clean and disinfect places that you can reach a lot (handles, switches, keyboards, phones, elevator buttons, stair handles, etc.) at least once a day.

4. Only face-to-face classes and parallel classes (in the form of square lectures) will be assigned to the classroom.
1) No classrooms are assigned for non-face-to-face classes.
2) When conducting a face-to-face test, a separate test room will be assigned through the university administration office or the competent institution.

5. The method of class (class type), the method of grade evaluation, and the test schedule are notification of the lecture plan and subject.
1) The class types are face-to-face, non-face-to-face, and mixed (face-to-face & non-face-to-face), and can be checked in the lecture plan.
- Among the class types, mix (face-to-face & non-face-to-face) means a parallel class (NEMO lecture).
2) The principles of class type progress are as follows.
- Face-to-face classes will be assigned to temporary classrooms or converted to non-face-to-face classes in the event of a confirmed patient.
- In non-face-to-face classes, irregular face-to-face classes cannot be conducted, but irregular parallel classes (NEMO lectures) can proceed with the assignment of another lecture room.

6. In the case of Sejong Campus, a separate standard is applied.
